With you coming into my world I became a mother for the very first time..
Never imagined that you would call me Amma for the umpteenth time

You made me realise how deep a mother's love can be.
With your tiny face and tiny arms as you stroke me.

When you began to walk I was scared where you would have a fall.
When you did fall you would be on your feet again chasing the cat on the wall.

To me your first few words were sounds of music.
The way you sway your head and speak is sheer magic.

On the day of  immunisation,
I chewed my nails as I felt an unpleasant emotion.
The needle pricking your tiny body as my worst imagination.
A few seconds of your cry still leaves me in a state of agitation.

As I watched you go to your new school with excitement,
Tears pricked my eyes and I was choked with a little disappointment.
That my little girl is no more little anymore.
That you would have your new friends to spend time with more.
That you would not be with me as much as before anymore..

Being with you,I have become a child again.
Squealing and giggling and dancing in the rain.

Your every little achievements,
Have become my big accomplishments.

I want to tell you as you grow tall,
No matter what,you will still be my baby doll!

May your life be as bright as 7 colors of rainbow,
May your goals be as big as  7 seas,
May your path be as beautiful as 7 notes of music..
